Splendor: A Luxe Novel (The Luxe) has been rated 1 starsdont get me started…

all im going 2 say is that this book killed the other books. it was almost as if the author just got so bored with the story that she gave up. all the themes and morals were ruined. one second they love someone so much they risk everything for them and then the next, when they r given wat they want, they turn their backs. i mean seriously i loved the books and thought the author was genius, now i can never pick them up again or recommend it.

Splendor: A Luxe Novel (The Luxe) has been rated 5 starsNot the ending I wanted, but can’t help but love it

I wasn’t entirely satisfied in the way Godbersen wrapped up the series, it certainly wasn’t a pure “fairy-tale” ending. But that was okay with me. I don’t really read these books for plot content. They are purely escapist for me, and so the whole world could randomly blow up, and I would probably still give it 5 stars. ;) However, friends who have read it said that the ending just made them mad.

I know that doesn’t make much sense. But c’est vrai. Perhaps other lovers of this series can explain it better. It’s a very easy series to hate because of it’s vapid and shallow nature, but I still love it. Crazy.

Splendor: A Luxe Novel (The Luxe) has been rated 5 starsSplendor is a great way to wrap up this selection of novels.

I was quite happy when I read this final book of the selection. It was a wonderful way to end it all and answer all the questions that are risen. I couldn’t put it down until I finished it. I was so happy to get it I stopped the book I was on at the time just so I could see what happened to all my favorite characters.

Splendor: A Luxe Novel (The Luxe) has been rated 3 starsUnsatesfing ending

I have to admit I was hooked on the first three books, but I really didn’t like the ending of the last one. It’s not because it wasn’t a happy ending, but because it was unexpected. How can someone love a person so much to leave her whole family behind and risk her reputation, then in a matter of one week change her mind? I feel like the character sounds a little bipolar to me. It is not normal to go through an emotional rollercoaster like that and act so reckless. What I’m trying to say is that I felt an inconsistency with the character and the story, which made the ending terrible. If she wanted to end the story in such a manner, she should have built up to that moment and not make a spontaneous decision.
