But as Molly gets to know the real Josh, the one the camera never sees, she starts to understand why her mother never wanted her to know her dad. Josh has room in his heart for only two things: basketball and himself. Does Molly really want this man for a father? I’ll read anything this guy writes. Uplifting stories of triumph through adversity, only as seen through the teenage and adolescent mind where the author shows things can impact young adults just as hard as anyone else. Each story is told with sports alternating between a colorful background and the main focus. This makes the story resolutions more readily adaptable to almost anyone who decides to read them.
Miracle on 49th Street is a great, family book. Mike Lupica delivers another spectacular novel. In the past he has written other best sellers like Travel Team, and Heat, but Miracle on 49th Street is an amazing book. If you like sports, this basketball book is the perfect book to read. The main character Molly is a basketball crazed girl who lost her mom due to cancer. She is devastated and is forced to live with her best friend Sam. But before her mom died she tells Molly who her dad is. It turns out to be pro basketball star Josh Cameron. She tries everything to make him believe that she is his daughter. You will never be able guess the spectacular ending this book has. This is a funny book and is perfect for teenagers who play sports, or for teenagers who do not.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I highly recommend thihs book for anyone that likes sports. Specificly if you enjoy basketball and the Boston Celtics. This book is about a girl 13 years old finding her real father. Her mom had just dies and she is living with her moms’ best friend from college. Right before she died her mother wrote her a letter saying who her real father is.
The girl is determind to get this NBA superstar to believe her that he is her real father. The NBA player Josh Cameron believe they should get a DNA test to see if it is true. The girl Molly won’t allow them to get a DNA test. This is because she wants him to want her to be his daughter all by himself which he has never wanted anything but basketball. I really enjoyed reading this book.
