My First Touch & Feel Picture Cards: First Words (Touch & Feel) has been rated 5 starsLove These Cards

My twins love these cards and they’ve really jump-started their communication skills. They love to hold them, and these cards are thick enough to be bitten and bent. I’m buying the rest of the series for them.

My First Touch & Feel Picture Cards: First Words (Touch & Feel) has been rated 4 starsGreat educational product

My 11 month-old daughter loves these cards. She enjoys taking them out of the box, one-by-one and then looking at each one. She especially likes looking at the picture of the baby and the animals and touching all the differnt textures. My only complaint is sticky surface of the “jelly” card is now covered in dust and fuzz.

My First Touch & Feel Picture Cards: First Words (Touch & Feel) has been rated 5 starsHe LOVES these flash cards and our “Play Time”

I’ve read some of the pros and cons of flash cards for infants and it concerned me, but my grandson loves when I point out things (photos on the wall, the clock, the fan, etc) and tells him what they are. He points and wants me to show him each things we’ve learned, over and over again; so I thought he might like flash cards.

Well, he loves them, especially these. I’ve read where we shouldn’t push our babies into memorizing, but everything we do is memorizing… what the number two looks like, the name for the four legged animal that barks, in school we memorize dates and name and places, just about everything is a matter of memorization (which I’ve always had a problem with). Since my grandson is the one initiating the “game”, I thought it couldn’t hurt to “play”.

The items in these cards are items he happens to really like, car, cat, dog, apple, fire engine, etc. I have other flash cards that he likes, but not as much as these. The feel part is just an added plus. I particularly like the jelly. The cards are nice and heavy so I don’t worry about him handling them. But they are card board so I don’t let him put them in his mouth.

He gets so excited when we play, when I show him the cards and read the name and make the sound that it would make, or tell him what we do with it. It only took twice through the cards for him to start making the sounds on his own, and he’s only 9 months old.

If he loves it, we spend time together doing something he loves AND he’s learning… that can’t be bad. I’m so glad I got these cards for him.

My First Touch & Feel Picture Cards: First Words (Touch & Feel) has been rated 5 starsMy son loves them!

My 15 month old first discovered his friends’ cards when he was 12 months old and loved them. Now that he has his own he goes through them every day. His favorite is fire truck. He carries it with him. They are very durable and I’ve asked his grandparents for the rest in the series for Christmas. The parent suggestions on the back are helpful, too.
